I guess that this is technically fanart, since it is the result of my wondering what I would do if I were to illustrate one of my favorite childhood books. Anyways, it is a scene depicted in 'The Last Unicorn' by Peter S. Beagle, one of my alltime favorite books (and movie). Incase you couldn't figure it out, it is when the unicorn drives the red bull into the sea in a fit of karmic vindication.

I love that movie too. I never read the book, though. it may make more sense. Very beautiful linework.

Thanks! Your right, the book fills out the plot a bit more.

I'll check it out ^^. Aren't they making a live action Last Unicorn, or am I thinking of something else but similar...

It's kinda emberrasing, but I cried a little when I saw this. The book has always been dear to me, but this image was just so moving.

Your rendition is so very fitting for the story. I love the penmanship, the grace inherent in the lines which makes up the unicorn, contrasted with the dark figure of the bull, and the "white zone" surrounding her makes you almost feel the anger radiating off of her.

It's a wonderful piece, and I'm so happy I found it. Thank you.
